In Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas’ primary port of call, P&O cruise ships are joined in the harbor by an impressive fleet of high-priced watercraft. They could be drawn to Magen’s Bay, often hailed as the most beautiful stretch of sand in the Caribbean; Coral World Ocean Park, with a tri-level underwater observatory; or Mahogany Run Golf Course, a stunning seaside destination for sports fans. If all else fails, the crystal clear waters of St. Thomas offer prime snorkeling excursions. Duty-free shopping is another local lure, with plenty of markets to accommodate day visitors.
